Home Sweet Home. I thought I'd best just dive in and try to add a second floor to my Blood Elf House. It was always the one I meant to experiment on.
I have not found good instructions for adding a second room, or what that odd ball "empty" stairwell room looks like in place. I know now, it's just an empty room with a high ceiling.
Here's the new entrance to my addition. A nice tidy hole in the wall.
It sure is dark in here, alright. I wish I had a grapple, or a ladder so I could pop up there, but I guess I have to buy beams and place them just so to make a staircase. Why is the "empty" stairwell room recommended over the left or right stairwell rooms?
If I want to try out the left or right stairwell rooms to see if they have stairs (not guaranteed), I will need to first delete the small medium square room I put on the second floor, and the hallway I made there. According to what I've read. If you don't, you can't change out the stairwell room and your house is in the f place. That's what I'm reading.
I used up all my boldness for these shots, so next week, the stairwell room saga continues.

So... I've seen Kamalia's and Ancient's homes. Just gonna put this out there...
ReplyDeleteAnd they have a second floor and stairs? Atheren
DeleteMore like I've visited their homes... ::nudge nudge::
DeleteMy Horde house is under construction, but I will consider making my Alliance house public for a week. Will let you know!
DeleteChallenge accepted. Deleted room, hall, empty stairwell. Added Stair Room, Right, Hall and Medium square room, voila! Steps to go up, a nice hall, big medium room. Pics tomorrow. Atheren
